60,000 tickets sold for Alamodome, let them go

More than 60,000 tickets have been sold to the New Orleans Saints' upcoming home game at the Alamodome in San Antonio vs. Detroit on Saturday, Dec. 24. The game is projected to sell out by Saturday, with a limited number of tickets still available due to player and visiting team allotment returns.

"The Saints would like to thank all of the businesses and individuals that have shown their support to our team through this unusual season," said Saints Owner/Executive Rita Benson LeBlanc. "For our Christmas Eve game against the Lions, we will provide a fun and entertaining family atmosphere in an Alamodome that promises to be full of holiday cheer."

The Saints have several special Christmas-oriented activities planned for pregame and halftime both inside and outside the Alamodome. Also, the Saints, the Aaron Brooks Family Foundation and H-E-B have teamed up to hold a stadium book drive at Alamodome entry points, as well as at the H-E-B Texas-Sized Tailgate Party located on the stadium's south end. All books will be used to help rebuild the New Orleans Public Library System.

For Saints-Lions tickets, fans may call the Saints at 210-208-9520 or Ticketmaster at 800-877-0898. Saints-Lions tickets are also available on-site at the Alamodome box office and online at both www.NewOrleansSaints.com and www.ticketmaster.com. H-E-B Texas-Sized Tailgate Party Permits are available at the Alamodome box office prior to game day.

Yeah last game was so special in Tiger Stadium, you really got the feel like they didn't even want to serve hot dogs at the game. They should just go there and leave the name, logo, and colors. They really have done whatever they can to get out of town for good and why would we really want them to come back. Besides I really want to see them tank there after 3 seasons of losing and have no one show up.

I just hope we can get a franchise down the road that wants to be here. Maybe Arnie Fielkow can head the ownership. He had a way of selling tickets here.

This sucks.

60K tickets sold, with several multi-thousand ticket blocks to "sycophants of Benson". How many people are really going to show up for this??

Why couldn't Benson/Saints do ANY of those activities for the Louisiana games? Maybe he forgot that farts are fleeting but azzholes last forever.

Yeah... they basically did nothing for the last game, not even an advertisement. They have pretty much offended everyone here. It will be hard for them to sell any tickets without a firm commitment.

Keep in mind that in no more than 3 years, San Antonio would no longer sell out Saints games. No other city will support this inconsistent group of misfits like we do. They're buying tickets now, because it's something new. It's the Ice Gators syndrome.

Benson's buddies and city politicians I am convinced are buying big blocks of tickets, If they move there I can't wait until those poor fans are screaming for Benson's head when they find out what an azzhole he is, and that he is no more capable of owning a respectable and winning franchise than Marge Schott...Only marge Schott was better looking...LOL

The tickets were bought in bulk by various companies some of which maybe owned by Mr. Dipstick himself and given away to employees and peeps off the street. You know if I want to sell your wife some new douche and yes I said douche, I am going to give away the vinegar. End of Story. NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!
