no AJ then trade down
Based on the # 4 pick overall
1) If the saints get number 4 (2000pts.) A.J. Hawk, 6-1, 240, Ohio State OLB SAVIOR ? D'Brickashaw Ferguson, 6-5 , 295, Virginia OT Next Roaf? Trade down to get (6-7) Haloti Nagata , Jr. 6'4 345lbs. Oregon DT (8-9) Jimmy Williams 6'2 210lbs. Virgina Tech CB (10-11) Ahmad Brooks, Jr. 6'4 260 lbs Virgina ILB (12-13) Rodrique Wright 6-5 330 lbs Texas DT (14-15) Vernon Davis 6'3 250 lbs. Maryland TE (16-17) Marcedes Lewis, 6'6 255lbs. UCLA TE (17-18) D'Qwell Jackson, 6'0 - 225 Maryland ILB other options available: Abdul Hodge 6'2" 235 lbs. Iowa ILB Max Jean-Gilles - 6’4 340 lbs. - Georgia G Now packagae Howard together with one of the picks and go after the trade for Rivers if you want. If Baltimore wants to go after Matt Leinart, as I think they will dropping down to 11 (1250) wont hurt so much this year. Plus picking up 850 pts worth of draft value (22nd pick 1st round value) would not be bad. I like to see us trade down twice and get Vernon Davis middle of the round, or Abdul Hodge, Max Jean-Gilles late. There are alot of great second round players availble this year. But AB would have to stay and redo that contract (3 fo 20) then trade if we like Rivers, if not there are good QB's available next year. Besides he could put up better stats for a better trade value. We hope. |

i don't think ahmad brooks is going in the first round. he's had a knee injury and didn't play most of this year. aj hawk has to be the pick if not wright the defensive tackle from texas.

Ahmad will go in the first and Baltimore is going to allow Boller one more year. They want a backup for Lewis or Taylor just in case. We will have two very good picks in the first and second round and I could see us trading Deuce and AB for a first round pick and drafting another running back.

I like that idea, cheramie, but I don't know who would be willing to pick up their enormous salaries. Especially since Deuce is consistently injured. I'd like our draft plans to include Bush or Leinart, even if I'm not completely sold on the latter. Don't know how possible either plan is. |

Hey S10, we need to do something, anything. With the talent we've had they should have certainly gelled by now. I think it's time to shake somethings up even if we have to eat some of those huge salaries.

If the same FO is in place...all bets are OFF. These guys have a difficult time picking their noses! If they are in place, we most likely will pick another SEC player that is a PROJECT!

trading duce after a knee injury? i doubt it. besides i think we have some good RB by committee now. the coaching staff just su--s at using them. Baltimore will trade to get Lienhart to unite offensive coordinator from usc Jim Fassel. As far as the front office goes they will go out to mess things up againto get out of N.O. We have to keep brooks if we can not get a starter through trade or free agency.

I'm not completely sold that Baltimore will go after Leinart. The coaching staff, including Jim Fassell, is very high on Boller.
