Am I the only one?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I could be in the minority on this, but am I the only one, who was a little excited to see Detroit make that last second field goal to win the game last Saturday?...

Are you kidding? I was at the game and I was excited. I think that the reactions on here by people being happy that we are getting a very high draft pick speaks to that same feeling. If we are gonna lose, this is the time.

It's sad but true, I think now is a good time to hope we get a first round pick. And please don't pop in and talk about who is a true fan or not, I've paid for years and years of pure crap football since my dad made me pay for my tickets after the Mora era and I'd like another 1st round pick.

Problem is who we will pick. It will probably be motivated by Tom Benson and I have no trust in Mickey Loomis. I'd love to see what Randy Meuller could do with a first round selection.... ah sorry that's right we gave him the boot for some reason... oh yeah over Filkow.... but we booted him too.

It's sad, yet surprising to see that despite our years and years of ineptitute and futility that we have only had the first overall pick just once in almost 40 years ('81 George Rogers). It almost seems inplausible. Kinda mind-boggling considering how many awlful years we have had.

My wife practically disowned me at the game. I was rooting silently for the Lions, and wearing s Deuce jersey and Saints hat. I wasn't jumping up and down screaming, but thre was some fist pumps when they did something good. Probably the least animated I have ever been at a Saints game.

Good bro. Club level. Very nice. There is a buffet at halftime, but it was like $15 a plate. And there was no way my son would eat $15 worth of food. Nor my wife. So we passed. But thanks again. Nice seats. My dad's season tickets are in the end zone, at the opposite end, but a level higher, so it was cool to get a look from a different angle.

It was the best loss I ever had as a Saints fan. They are becoming very consistent about losing again and I made $1,000.00 on that loss. I also bet against them this weekend and I bet the $1,000.00 that I won on the game. The reason I bet against them was everytime I bet on them they would lose, so I tried the reverse and I won money and a higher draft pick for the Saints.

Clever thinking!

i know when you're saying first round pick, you really mean first overall selection. but as i replied to someone earlier having the 1st overall pick, top 5 pick year after year means exactly zilch, nada, nothing without a good frontoffice. winning ways, leadership etc rolls down hill not the reverse. we have chitwit at the helm. la. rams were about 10 year drafting top 5 year end year out, arizona etc.
