Just ramblings...
Carolina is one dependable running back away from a dominating offense. Look for the Panthers to shore that up by round two. Someone like USC's White or Minnesota's Maroney might fit... Broncos offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak is worth a look as a head coach. He's been with Shanahan for 12 seasons? Kubiak's kept his nose to the offensive grindstone and done wonders with what he's had to work with. The Broncos, during his time there, have been respectable. How many times have we been amazed by their re-loading a no-name RB that ran like crazy? He may not be an offensive genius but he's pretty friggin' close to it. He's mild-mannered and cerebral. Biding his time. He may not take that step up this year. But when he does, he's gonna kick some ass. Other than the Saints, I'm interested in the Texans in April. What on earth are they gonna do? I suspect, and its only a guess, they'll keep Capers, Carr, Davis, Johnson, etc. They'll have a top three pick. If they use their position to whittle away at what they need - OL and a little D. Patience. Wild Card. Division Champs.... San Fran drafts one of the USC guys. Jets get a QB, possibly by trade. Raiders need D. Giants are great against the run, a little DB help and some luck and they're on their way to the Super Bowl. Playoffs? I'm old school. Giants vs. Bears. AFL? Really doesn't matter. I'd like to see Denver make some noise. My 2 cents. 8) |
