TE Conwell A Saint!!!
With Conwell and Sloan together in a two tightend set inside the redzone,it will be damn hard for teams to matchup with us.Let\'s not forget coach Martz use to use this guy to run the ball in on goal line situations.
If Sloan plays well in this the final year of his contract, and he knows he needs to if he\'s gonna get paid big bucks on his next contract, this offense will average more points than last year. Signing Conwell should allow the saints to fully focus on defense early in the draft. Once again hats off to Loomis and the boys!!!! |
See yall at the dome on sunday !

TE Conwell A Saint!!!
Now this is what I have been looking for all off-season. Two great moves by the Saints, and now I can start to really feel excited. Bring on Trufant, Bailey, and who ever is left at DT and look out!

TE Conwell A Saint!!!
I definately like this move. I think this upgrades the TE position dramatically. Conwell is coming off of his best season yet, and with our offense, I think he could do even better. This might also give Sloan some incentive to get better as well. This is also a classic case of how much money is a factor in some player\'s minds and I hope the Saints will realize this. Apparently, Conwell didn\'t want to leave St. Louis because of his children, but the Saints offered him more than what the Rams were willing to pay him. Now, I\'m not trying to spark controversy over whether he truly wants to be a Saint or not, that\'s neither here nor there. But hopefully the Saints will realize that you need to show a certain amount of monetary appreciation to your players (Joe Horn, case in point). I\'m sure Conwell will bring a whole lot to our offense. I\'m so excited about next season!!! Why can\'t it come sooner??

TE Conwell A Saint!!!
i think this was a solid move by us, in signin conwell it gives us a threat down the middle, and if sloan returns to his true form, that will give us 2 very solid TEs, giving us the formation of the Double TE, a very good running formation as well as passing...

TE Conwell A Saint!!!
i hate to be a naysayer but...
this all sounds like the same stuff that was being said when we signed sloan, sloan was coming off a great year when we signed him and has done damnit since he\'s been a saint, i just don\'t see conwell being much better, brooks just doesn\'t seem to throw to the TE, he hasn\'t tosed the ball to a TE regulaly since cleeland, as far as red zone help we didn\'t need red zone help i hope i\'m wrong, i hope the signing of conwell fires sloan up and they both turn into over the middle threats, the only the thing this guarantees is that the saints won\'t waste a high pick on a TE when we need help on d |

Gotta agree with Pak on this one. I think this will give us something we haven\'t had in a long time. Two proven Tightends. Now if Boo will just come around.

Brooks hasn\'t had a tight end-- including Cleeland. He was injured all the time.
The signing of Conwell definately helps this offense. He\'s a good blocker and a good passing threat on 3rd down. It\'ll be interesting to see who the Saints name as their starter. They will both be competing for pt so they should both push each other to play with alot of desire. |
