RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: The 08 Prediction
Not sure, but I'm certain the specifics will hit this board when the details are announced. But I imagine they'll allow bonuses to be distributed, without counting against the cap up to a certain threshold. Or, an increased salary cap this year, which declines by a certain value each year, until it reaches the league norm after three or so years. Or a combination of both.
Regardless, it makes the year a really exciting opportunity. But put Venturi in control during this opportunity, and half the remaining population will commit suicide. |

Brooks Get traded with Deuce for a Good veteran QB and maybe at least one WR from a chosen team.
Get leinart or Reggie in the Draft and some some blockers for reggie if you pick reggie and if Leinart get some more WR in the Draft. |

Venturi for head coach anyone?
I'm going to trot out another thought. Rumor is that Ray Lewis wants out of Baltimore due to personality conflict with Billick. Maybe Phil Savage could convince Ray to finish his career rebuilding the dome patrol? |

Are you kidding? I would take Ray "murder anyone I can catch in Buckhead with a knife" Lewis in a heartbeat. Pair him with Ty Law. And TO.
I'm past the point of caring about character. They're all thugs anyway (except for Peyton, of course). So gimme some no-character over-paid no-class murdering thug from the project. Gimme 22 of 'em. I'll take em, as long as, JUST FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE, my team can go to the Superbowl. Poor Buddy-D never got that. |

..if you are drinking anything, please place it down on the table... hope this saves your keyboards and monitors...
... ok... ... Belichick stunk as HC in Cleveland, and was run out of town... years later, he's a genius with Superbowl rings... ... enter Venturi... stunk it up in both stints as interim coach... years later, he's a genius and wins 3 Superbowls with the Saints... |

I say the Saints go for Tice "AKA Captain Merril Stubing" as head coach and sign Ron Artest as new RB / hitman. We might not be good but we'll sure be entertaining off the field.

I don't think he's a genius though. Maybe the difference is that Bill didn't have Vinatieri in Cleveland? Vinatieri is more responsible for the New England "dynasty" than anyone else. .02 |
