Chris Mortensen: (12:10 PM ET ) The Saints absolutely want to move up. And they may pull it off. They would love to add Newman to their secondary. |

I think the price is going to be over-inflated and cost too much to move that far up. DT and LB are glaring needs for the saints and since they did not address these two positions in any form through FA it looks like that will be the main focus. Hopefully the trade up for Newman talk is a smokescreen with the guise of making sure their #1 player is available at about round 10 where the price to move up will not be so costly.
This is my hope at least. |

This will probably not happen, Newman would probably cost us our two picks in the first.

What to you think it would take to trade up for Boss Bailey? One of the firsts and the second?

It might not take anyting camps lil bro could be there for us. Many think the Rams will go for him possibly, the Pats either way I\'d rather get E.J. Henderson. He\'s not as fast for sure but he has better instincts and hits like a truck.

Henderson or Bailey......either way I\'m pleased with that pick. Both would signifigantly upgrade our linebackers......I think now our weakest of the three defensive zones.

I live in Atlanta (no flames, please) now and the thing I remember most from last season, watching the games at the Bayou Room..... my buddie screaming over and over again, same thing every week....

Vaughn Johnson * Pat Swilling * Sam Mills * Ricky Jackson *
That\'s kind of like recalling my first kiss. I\'m sure that Haslett and Loomis wouldn\'t do anything as crazy as giving up picks in the first two rounds for a linebacker that might still be available to them with their current picks. [Edited on 17/4/2003 by iceshack149] |
