RE: Which Coach Would You Want?
I would pick Sherman, because of two reasons: One, I believe he got a raw deal with all of the injuries that happened to the team this year. If you don't take into account this year, he has an impressive win/lose record. Two, I believe hiring Sherman opens the door for the possibility of attracting Brett Farve to N.O., which is just a short drive from his hometown of Hattisburg, MS. Lienart would have the chance to learn under a future Hall of Fame QB, and Farve would have an opportunity to play with a great running back, and a strong receiving corp.

I think a close second to Sherman would be Tice. He has a good media-friendly personallity, but he may be too easy-going for the "Big Easy".

Sherman would sure be nice but I would think the only way we could lure him would be if we gave him the GM job as well...

Mike Tice would be a good pick up.

Kubiak, Fassell or Mooch. Anyone of these would be a great choice in my opinion and would defintely improve our record from this year. Oh, that's right we only won 3 this year. I could win more games than that and you know I could.

None of the above.
The only re-tread I'd seriously consider is Art Shell. |

I think we need a coach who's hungry and on his way up. Martz would be a disaster here. Sherman singlehandedly dismantled the Packers before the season even started. Tice's teams are nearly as undisciplined as we are. Capers presided over a team that seemed convinced that they didn't need a left tackle. Mooch is a great coach, but maybe we need a tougher guy to get this team to perform their best? |
