Coaching Rumors.....
I guess either one for the Saints would be a helluva lot better than Hasbeen:
NFL coaching searches By Yahoo! Sports January 3, 2006 The NFL has eight head coaching openings after the Raiders fired Norv Turner on Tuesday. Turner joins the unemployment line with Steve Mariucci and Dick Jauron (Detroit), Mike Sherman (Green Bay), Dom Capers (Houston), Mike Tice (Minnesota), Jim Haslett (New Orleans) and Mike Martz (St. Louis). Kansas City is also looking for a head coach after Dick Vermeil retired. Teams are conducting interviews with candidates. Here's a look at all eight coaching searches. DETROIT LIONS Out: Steve Mariucci, Dick Jauron In? Maurice Carthon – The Browns' offensive coordinator was in Detroit on Monday to interview with president Matt Millen, according to the Detroit Free Press. Carthon was the Lions' offensive coordinator and running backs coach under Marty Mornhinweg. Al Saunders – The Lions have formally requested permission to speak with the Chiefs' offensive coordinator and could meet with him over the weekend, according to The Kansas City Star. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgns Kubiak, Fassell or Mooch would be first on my list. |
