RE: Haslett to be HC with the Lions?
A day after being fired by the Saints, former coach Jim Haslett has scheduled an interview with the Detroit Lions for later this week, ESPN's Ed Werder reports.
The Lions have also contacted Hall of Fame linebacker Mike Singletary about their vacant coaching job. Asked if he thought he was ready to be an NFL head coach, Singletary said, "Absolutely.'' http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2279439 I guess the Lions are wanting to improve from pitiful to mediocre if they hire Haslett. |

Let me see if I get this right....
Haslett is interviewing with a team with a maddeningly inconsistent QB that the franchise has a LOT of money invested in but still can't count on. 1 premiere WR who has a personality conflict with another player A RB with injury trouble Another WR who hasn't lived up to his draft hype Another WR who can't even break into the starting lineup And a defense that can't stop anyone And an entire team that under achieves and has no discipline And how exactly is Haslett the answer to this situation??? |

The Jets are looking at Haslett, Herm Edwards is heading for Kansas City. The last thing Jim wants to do right now is work for Matt Millen in Detroit who is never wrong about anything, just ask him!! Mooch might fit in in NO/SA love to see the Honeymoon pictures of him and Benson under the umbrella!!

Call me crazy but to tell you the truth, I think Haslett is going to be successful where ever he decides to coach next season.
