Can we go back to the helmets from the 80's? The fleur-de-lis was thinner, and larger. Love that look, hate the new helmets, don't care for the black at all.

I don't care much for the thinner one. I do think the current "thicker" fluer-de-lis should be a wee bit larger, though.

I like the late 90's uni's. I love the gold helmets, but I want them to bust out the black on black like what Glover and Mitchell are rocking out

How about I stick my fo.................can't finish that, cuz I don't want you to be scared. I always thought that the Mardi Gras colors, King Cake colors (gold, green, purple) if you will would be totally cool but with a little black thrown in.

You guys are scaring me. The Mardi Gras color are great festive colors and they are definitely trademark...but on a uniform? Only in Europe!!

Well if we're gonna change uniforms, why not all black at home including black helmet, and all gold on the road including the gold helmet we have now. The white jersey can become the alternate.

I didn't look all that closely at the uniform history link. Have we ever worn all black? All black with the gold helmet would be cool. Don't know about the all gold, though. Years ago my Seminoles came out for a homecoming game in all gold w/gold helmets and were practically booed back into the locker room. It was butt ugly. Maybe the Saints could come up with an all gold that looks good, but I doubt it.

I was playin ESPN 2K5 last night and I was messin with all the available Saints uniforms in the game. I think that the best solution would be......

1. Black Helmet/gold fleur with gold jersey and black pants for home
2. Black helmet with white jersey and either black or white pants for away.
3. On occasion we could also use the black helmet with a black jersey and either the black or gold pants.

What would the Black Helmet w/ a Gold Fleur-de-lis, Black Pants, and a Black Jersey w/ a Gold Bronco-style stripe going down the sides look like? Can someone make the look happen on Photoshop?

How weird!! I actually thought about that a while back.....anything is possible. I wish I could help you with the photoshop deal but no dice.
