I think what this team needs is a new uniform....
 

First of all...the Saints colors are the best in the NFL hands down. However....its been 40 years of futility with the golden helmet. I think its time for the black helmet with the golden fleur.....combine with a black and black combo or the gold alternate with black pants for home games....and a white top with either the gold or black pants. You guys ever notice how many different uniforms the Falcons have? I think the Saints need that same type of diversity but we must switch the helmet colors. Black halmet....gold Fleur! What do you say?

I like it. Let's see if one of the other users can possibly show us an image of that by switching the colors on an existing photo. I'm sure someone here has the ability to do so.

Hey, actually, I just did some research, and they did do that back in the late 60's, but it failed to change their abilty to win then, so I'm afraid it would do nothing for them now. However, I do still believe it would look cool.

Actually....they only did it for ONE preseason back in the 60's. Come on now....lets give it another chance!!

Someone actually had a picture of all the old helmets posted on here a while back. I can;t remember which thread though. Definitely go for the black one.

As long as they get rid of that funky stripe down the middle, that would be pretty sweet.

I own the black mini helmet with a lineman mask....it rules.

I personally like our unis, i would just like to see us go back to the black pants on the road and mixing in the all black unis every once and a while. Maybe bust out the black helmets with gold jerseys for one or two games a year.

And the Falcons new uniforms look like arena gear to me, but i am a vintage guy and I think the "hi tech" unis like the new broncos and falcons suck compared to the chiefs/packers/old bills.

The reason I figured it would help the team is that I have noticed how certain teams have changed their look and shortly after have become very successful. For example... St. Louis.....new unis....2 super bowls, Tampa Bay...new unis...one super bowl, Patriots.....new unis 3 three super bowls, Broncos...new unis...2 super bowls. Now I know that not all the teams have faired with this much success and new unis but...HECK...why not give it a shot? As for the arena hi tech comment.....its not so much about the new tech look....if anything.....I think the team could at least use some variety....the Falcons have.....a red/white/and black jerseys and black and white pants....thats 6 total combinations.....every sunday for as loooong as I have been a Saints fan its been......black white shirt and gold pants. We have tried some other combinations but how often have we seen them? RARELY! Maybe a change like this could somehow help the psyche of this team, city, and organization. They lose nothing by trying it out. GO SAINTS!!

Im not gonna lie...I am also a Canes fan so feel free to rub it in. Its a young team and I honestly think they kinda over achieved this year. 40 pts was kinda shiocking. Especially the way their defense was manhandling most of the teams this year but I did hear that Miami's offense was weak and obviously LSU's defense did an excellent job...which leads to a very tired Miami defense....and that will give you...40 pts. Even though I am a Canes fan....I have absolutely no hard feelings toward LSU. I tend to root for them during certain SEC games. Congrats on the win...JERKS...lolol.

BTW, what's up with Devin Hester going pro? Does he really think he has established himself that well? And what position does he really play? Corner? Athlete? WR? What? He doesn't do anything especially well except be fast IMO.

It's not too hard, just download picture by right-clicking one it, and open it up in MS Paint. From there you just zoom in and commence to painting.

Great work. You guys are already seeing my vision. LOL. Its kinda tough, however, makin a 60's helmet look toufh....people had weird shaped heads back then. As for eliminating the white....I dunnoo...I do see the white as an essential part of the uniform. Maybe shrink the white lines a little but don't make them disappear. Seriously....you take this design...apply it to today's style of helmet and you got....what has to be.....the BADDEST helmet in the NFL. DO IT TOMMY!! Let's change things up!!!
