Cher, I usually agree with what you say, but I am at an absolute loss for words on this one.

and what are you going to do if Leinhart like some speculate say's he doesn't want to play for us just like Eli did? You are going to trade him away right? You bet!

First of all, he'll probably play anywhere, but if he didn't yes, I would trade the pick away. But what does that have to do with anything? If he wants to play here, then I want him because he's the best QB in the draft. If he doesn't want to play here, well that really sucks, and I wouldn't want a guy on the team who didn't want to be a Saint, especially at the quarterback position.

Where you keep holding out hope that a player is the savior of the team, like Hasbeen did with AB. Have you been paying attention, or like Hasbeen did with Cie Crant or Bouman or many other players.
Who the hell thought that Cie Grant or Bouman were saviors?

Exactly. He might have thought Grant would be pretty good, but Bouman? He's a permanent backup, and a bad one at that. Neither of them were expected to be "saviors."
Listen Cher, the point is, our biggest need is a QB. Our ability to draw QBs in through FA has been drastically reduced, not to mention there aren't many good QBs available, not even enough good ones to be starters for every team (i.e. Miami, Cleveland, Oakland). Getting a guy like Leinart who has won 1 (or 2 if you wish) national championships, won 34 straight games, has great poise, great intangibles, and a desire to win is huge for this franchise. Do we need a LB? Absolutely. I love AJ Hawk. Would I be mad if we traded down and got him? Probably, but only because we would let Leinart go. Hawk is a stud, but there are also a lot of good LBs in this draft, including D'Qwell Jackson ( ILB, Maryland), Abdul Hodge (ILB, Iowa), DeMeco Ryans (OLB, Alabama), Chad Greenway (OLB, Iowa), Bobby Carpenter, Cameron Vaughn, Rocky McIntosh, and some others. The point is, Leinart is a once in a very long time kind of quarterback, at a position where really good ones don't come around very often. There are always at least 3 or 4 LBs that come out every year that do well. The point is, AJ Hawk is a stud, but the Saints need a QB even more, and can still afford to use their 2nd round pick and get a VERY talented LB.
