JOESAM2002 01-08-2006 05:29 PM

Don't be to quick to judge him there Cheramie. Remember he's just getting started. This kids gonna be real good! Mark my words. :D

sarge06 01-08-2006 05:31 PM

I have to agree. I expect that he will at least be in the same neighborhood as his brother soon.

CheramieIII 01-08-2006 05:32 PM

I was only giving everyone **** for saying Leinhart was rated higher than Eli and trying to make the point that if Mel rates a QB higher than a pile of shiiiiitttt, it doesn't mean anything more than his opinion.

sarge06 01-08-2006 05:34 PM

Im just saying that I would take that pile of s**t anyday. And if Linehart is as good or better then please take him

papz 01-08-2006 05:42 PM

I've always thought Kiper was a load. Eli still lead his team into the playoffs, he'll be fine. It's hard to compare Eli to Leinart, two different players at completely different programs. We don't know Eli would have done with better talent and Leinart would have done with less.

Milians 01-08-2006 05:42 PM

Thats good for the Giants. Those bastards with their nine home games deserved that beating. And for the record, no one is in the same league as Peyton, let alone neighborhood. Eli has a ways to go before he can even think about carrying his brother's jock-strap. The Giants didn't win their division because of him, but rather in spite of him.

hagan714 01-08-2006 08:17 PM

Not bad for second year QB. They will be drafting and signing FA offensive line this year for him. Thier defense has a solid foundation and that has kept them alive to this point. Getting the point?

sarge06 01-08-2006 08:19 PM

Sorry pal Tiki Barber kept them alive

CheramieIII 01-08-2006 08:19 PM

I did about the DEFENSE and all!

Hey Joe I agree with ya just trying to make a point.

hagan714 01-08-2006 08:23 PM

can not take a thing from tiki he has been my fantasy back 3 years straight. But without the D they would have been put in the situation of dumping the run and going to the pass. hmmm sounds ghostly huh. Giants D was my second string D in fantasy for 2 years. My league is wierd

sarge06 01-08-2006 08:25 PM

The Gmen D has been solid. If not for Aleander's crazy year Tiki hands down MVP

LongTimeFan 01-08-2006 09:06 PM

His big brother didn't win a playoff games at first either, give him a chance, this guy I feel will be special.

CheramieIII 01-08-2006 09:45 PM

I know he will was only trying to make a point.

hagan714 01-08-2006 09:49 PM

with out the D eli would not be were he is today because tiki was still apart of the game plan throughout the year.

mjf150 01-09-2006 07:33 AM

I don't Eli looked pretty bad next to a QB that was never drafted.
And besides, the whole "If I can't play for who I want, then I'm not gonna play at all" BS left a bad taste in the mouths of alot of people. He doesn't have half of the class of either his father or brother, nor as much talent as either. Don't misunderstand me. I'm not saying that he isn't good. All I'm saying is he isn't as good.

the guy is in his 2nd season n the NFL and u expect him to be as good as payton is alraedy!?! geez give the guy some time....

mjf150 01-09-2006 08:15 AM

Whatever your opinion of his abilities, you have to admit that it was a fairly classless thing to not play for the team that drafted you. Peyton and Archie were both drafted by terrible teams, but they had the class to play for them anyway.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Tiki finish 4th in the MVP voting?

Y do i even try... ok here we go... it was pretty classless but yet.... it was archie telling him to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! archie didnt want his son playing for a crappy team and he was telling him to say that he wouldnt play for the chargers...... this is almost tiresome having to retalk about old news over n over again b/c u people dont pay attention.....

Your point was to prove that Leinart isn't good cause Eli Manning struggled in his first ever playoff game? Good luck with that.

... if I had a penny for every time the word "class" or "classless"...

... not knowing the actual meaning of the word is worst, in my opinion.

mjf150 01-09-2006 10:32 AM

Classless:(adj.)
1. Lacking social or economic distinctions of class: a classless society.
2. Belonging to no particular social or economic class.
3. Informal: A lack of elegance of style, taste, and manner.

I think number 3 would work in that situation.

MatthewT 01-09-2006 04:54 PM

I too think Eli is going to be special. Not going to attempt to defend him for the game he had yesterday, he did have a horrible game. But, he had horrible support from his so called best WR. If I were the Giants, Plaxico Burress would be off the team immediately. Plaxico played like a lazy spoiled brat. Dude was not completing his routes, gave Eli no chance. I do not remember even Randy Moss playing so lazy, especially in a big game.

Care to explain why #3 applies? BTW, new entry in which dictionary?

MordorIV 01-09-2006 06:50 PM

Eli really sucked crap that game srry to say that but it's true

No the point was that Eli is in his third season. Leinart won't make an impact fast enough to keep the Saints in New Orleans.

CheramieIII 01-09-2006 08:08 PM

and good luck with that response Whodi.

lienart has a lot more talent around him at usc, then he would in new orleans, and he lost with the talent he has there. what would he do with the talentless in newo?

Leinart is grading out HIGHER than Eli. HIGHER. ABOVE. BETTER. So, are you still trying to make that same point? AND, Eli is in his second year, not third, and already in the playoffs. How terrible.

You can grade Leinart as high as you want to, he won't have an impact when we need it and that's next year not year two or three.

pakowitz 01-10-2006 06:50 AM

i think he is going to get killed if we drafted leinert.... he does not have great mobilitly and we dont have a very good Oline....

Um, it's not how I am grading him out, it's how draft experts are grading him out. If you think we are gonna be in the playoffs next year with ANYONE you need to stop smoking that stuff. Get over it. I'm just looking for us to show improvement, from 3 wins to 6-8 wins, under a new coach and new QB. And for the fans to fill the stadiums regardless.

spkb25 01-10-2006 11:39 AM

eli is in his second season and he has room to improve am i am pretty sure he will.

MordorIV 01-10-2006 06:12 PM

AJ Hawk on D is what we need.

CheramieIII 01-10-2006 06:22 PM

Since I was 7 years old, that's when the Saints became the Saints, I always wanted them to go to the Superbowl so I could buy a ticket, attend the game, paint my body black and gold and root, yes I said root (you don't hear that word much anymore) for the Saints like a freakin maniac. Not a reference to Flashdance at all. I still harbor the childhood dream in my heart as all of us do. I know that next year will be the last if we go anything less than 8-8. We are being watched and Tags has told us no less. Our defense was rated 14th this season and yes getting two LB's could fail too, but I think if we have a defense rated 2nd or 3rd and an offense rated 20th we will win alot more games than the reverse.

That's my opinion and you know what, I'M STICKIN TO IT!!!!

MordorIV 01-10-2006 06:37 PM

Eli will get better with time but he still sucked his first playoff game.
