Now, I am not saying a white candidate can not do that, and I don't think you are either, but the success of those three can not be ignored when it comes to hiring. And yes there have been players who have spoken out about preferring to play for a minority coach. But more than anything, I think players want a leader, someone they can follow, someone who commands respect, and gives it. And that can come from any color candidate. I hope we make a good choice.
no doubt whodi, but because a few or some players have spoken out about that does not mean that all or most really give a good damn. not to you on that whodi to jerg. i think the last part of what you had to say is what i was trying to point out whodi. lovie smith brought success this year. i like the guy but lets not forget that. i could give two shiiits who our coach is as long as son biitcch wins. in ther end i think that is how nearly all players feel.

i think more players care about that than you are willing to admit. weither you like it or not minority players tend to look up to and connect better with leaders of their same racial and economic background. the bigger picture is that the saints need to prove to the nfl and their players that they should actually give a damn about the saints organization. before this can be done the saints need to prove that they are willing to make the necessary changes to stop the LOSER mentality that surrounds this franchise. part of that is creating a buzz and doing things completely different. one of those different ways is to hire a minority coach. not a token minority coach, but one that has the leadership abilities to entice some free agents to come and play for a more progressive organization.

so your point wasn't that you thought it might be a decent idea to hire a minority coach it is that THEY SHOULD hire a black coach. and stop saying minority because that pertains to more then one race sir and you are speaking of one race which is the black race. i am pretty sure you aren't saying you would prefer they hire an american indian for the position. so save the PC for someone who needs to hear it. i prefer honesty. i like things said the way they are meant. don't skate around how you really feel. so people or is it just players connect better with people of their same race. i am interested in this because i thought that was why white people didn't want black people sharing in the same schools or organizations as them. it was because they felt more comfortable around people of thier own race and economic make up. that is always a good idea and rarely is that considered racism. i work with 4 people all of which are black and until he was laid off my boss was also black. um i never felt like i couldn't relate to those people. that must be because i am white.

Your team stinks
