Aaron Brooks staying ????????
-- Aaron Brooks in Limbo; Future Depends Upon New HC --
Mon Jan 9, 2006 --from FFMastermind.com The Times-Picayune reports no one is watching the Saints' coaching search more closely than former starting QB Aaron Brooks and his agent, Mason P. Ash. Brooks, who was relegated to the bench in favor of backup QB Todd Bouman with three games remaining, has two years left on his contract. Brooks' deal includes base salaries of $6.25 million next season and $7.25 million in 2007, plus a $250,000 workout bonus each year. Brooks' demotion triggered speculation that he'll either be traded or released during the offseason, a move that would leave the Saints with Bouman (six NFL starts) and rookie QB Adrian McPherson (no NFL playing time) as the only quarterbacks on their 53-man roster. Saints GM Mickey Loomis said Brooks' fate now rests with the new coach. "Obviously, this was a tough year for Aaron, both professionally and personally," Loomis said. "I'm sure he's got some feelings about that. "We're going to get a new head coach in here, and we're going to talk an awful lot about Aaron Brooks and his future. We'll talk to Aaron about that as well." |
I just want a pass rush... Is that so hard to find.... Apparently....

Look Brooks was finally benched for a good reason, he is not the future of the Saints and he had 4 or 5 years to prove that, it's time to move on or make him rework his contract stay around as our 2nd and cut Bouman and yes keep AMAC.
