RE: Mike McCarthy new HC for the Packers

I guess we don't have to worry about any competition from them as a team or for a good coach.

You got that right Cheramie, it just doesn't make sense to me to hire Mike as a HC in the NFL, maybe they know something we don't know about him

..knows the system, knows the players, maybe Favre likes him... not his fault Brooks & Co. couldn't run his playbook...

Yeah u can't really look at the hire from a Saints fan's perspective. He was always highly regarded when he was here and apparently he still is. He's a derivative of the Holmgren inner circle, so with that comes respect. He got a crappy 49ers offense to play above themselves, even though they were still awful. I'd tend to think it wasn't his fault that our team sucked when he was here.

Couldn't possibly disagree more. I could call Mike's plays throughout a Saints game. 3rd and 1? Empty the back field so there was no threat of a run and throw an incomplete pass. 2nd and 11? Duece offtackle.

Show me an instance of our offense improving under him over his tenure. We had one good year and then regressed with the same personnel. He had no positive impact on ABs play.

I think Mike M. is in the same mold as Sam Wyshe(sp). Great at developing QB's, but get beyond that, and he's out of his element.
