We can't foul this draft up can we?
We really can't lose. Personally I want Vince Young, why because we need a new start at the QB position, I think this guy foots the bill. But when you listen to Casserly and why he wants Bush, I feel the Saints should have this extraordinary weapon which we currently do not have, not in one guy. Here is what Casserly had to say about the usage of Bush.
(on what Reggie Bush could help the Texans) “If you have a Reggie Bush, he’s an explosive player. Hands on the ball, he can score any time he gets it. He can be a runner, he can be a receiver, he can be a returner and he could be a decoy if you will. Why would you have a decoy? Well, you put him in motion and all of a sudden he can free up coverages. You’re now dictating the defense by moving him around. And that was part of the interview process, certainly asking people, ‘How would you use Reggie Bush?’ Because at the time we interviewed everybody, we thought Reggie Bush was going to declare. I think he gives you a lot of options, plus he gives you a touchdown maker and another playmaker on offense. Man if we trade down, I will be so pissed. |

RE: We can
The Saints can't afford to trade down, I think we make the pick, no deals for the first round

RE: We can
I think whether or not we do or don't trade down, we can't lose. Too deep of a draft and we should be able to draft guys that will be able to help us win immediately. I would preferably stay somewhere in the top 10 so we can land a top notch prospect... I don't think it's necessary to stay in the top 3 because we could acquire more picks trading down a couple of picks. But Leinart would be a great addition and we'd get an A in my book if we picked him at number two. I'm excited about this upcoming draft... it should be a good one.

LOL come on guys there is a very high likely hood we will screw this up by the end of day one. History is against us. Unless mickey mouse has little to say about it and the new HC and staff makes the call our chances are not that good. Hell i would trade just for more picks so our odds are better at having a good draft.

RE: We can
I hope so. Heck anywhere in the middle of round 1 after a couple of moves down and high picks in 2 and 3 iwould be happy. trading out of 2 should get us a #1 next year just make sure the team suxxsss next year to. hhehehehe. I would even pass up AJ and go after the other OSU OLB. in the later part of round 1. The daft is way to deep not take the risk. it could turn out to be one of the best draft classes in history.

RE: We can
All of these moves depend on good talent evaluation, which we haven't had in the past few years.
