RE: The NFL Admits an offical made a mistake!
I do not know if there is already a rule in place, but if there is not, there ought to be a rule that states if an official calls a play incorrectly, and the play is then overturned by the NFL Officiating Committee, then that ref should be fined "X" amount of dollars, especially if the ref has done so on more than one occasion. This would help deter referees from making bad calls because they might prefer one team to win over another. It would also help to protect the integrity of the game.
