I think Peyton was extremely frustrated when he made his comments. Why wouldn't he be? He knows this was their best chance at winning a Superbowl. Home field advantage, Superbowl in a dome, New England knocked off, can't ask for a better situation. Even Peyton knows the situation in Indy is only going to get worse. The dude takes up so much freaking cap space it will be hard to maintain a team around his compensation numbers. Not to mention that the Pittsburgh defense exposed their entire operation, and exposed Peyton. Besides the front line playing pretty bad, Peyton did not demonstrate the ability to overcome the situation. Matter of fact, he made plenty of poor decisions in the game. Sounds familiar, Peyton coming up short in the "big game"?
