What is taking so long?
He has been Head Coach for a little over a week and He hasn't hired or fired anyone. Every other team that has signed their coach has at least hire someone. I think if he waits too long we will be stuck with the same people. Although, with Venturi being offered a job in Miami, I think he is as good as gone.

Settle down...Payton will be interviewing the LB coach for Dallas for the DC position...Al Everest will probably stay as the ST coach that just leaves the OC position which he was going to attempt to hire the RB coach from Dallas but the TUNA shut the door on that hire. So settle down Saints fans it will come. |

Payton, before hiring any new coaches, has to go in and evaluate each and every coach. This process can take a little while. He also has to scout and contact new assistants. The process just takes a while.
Anybody else hope we could somehow get Donnie Henderson for the new DC job because the Jets let him go? |
