Okat, it was '89(so no Quinn Early), and we did win 22-19. And that was Dalton's pro bowl year. Maybe it was Lonzell Hill, Perriman, or Floyd Turner celebrating in the end zone outside of possiby Eric Martin.

Ok.... I admit to error. That game was really a long time ago. But I do remember seeing pictures of that game and one in particular of a Saints reciever celebrating in the endzone covered with snow.

12-23-1990, Saints 13, SF 10. Needing to win out the last two games to make the playoffs, this team of marginal talent and depth went on the road to beat the eventual (and defending) Super Bowl champion. A week later they rallied to beat Los Angeles at home to clinch the playoff spot. An inspiring win which set the stage for the Dome Patrol years.

Wait... I might be right. Early and Hilliard played together in '91 - '93. Now I do know that Buffalo game did happen around that time.
http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nfl...ntsimages.html This is a cool page with some of the best Saints players throughout the years. I could swear if my memory serves me well (which I am sure it doesn't thanx to all the partying I did during my college years) but I remember the guy in the picture wearing a number 89. |

LOL....I just came back from break and while I was out I realized that you were right because that game happened in '89. We lost the '92 game cause I remember that Thurman Thomas was one of the few RB's that year that managed to run for over 100 yards agaist us. So I know for sure that I am wrong. I wish I could remember who was in that damn picture. Oh well...you were right and don't let it get to your head. ;0)

i cannot remember the team we played against or the name of the wr right now, we picked him up from the steelers in the mid 90's.
on a punt or a kickoff the saints almost took a knee and the wr took it out of his teammates hand and ran it back for a touchdown. that game had a lot of crazy plays like that. that whole season was like that if i remember right. |

Great topic! My fav. game was a Monday night game against the cowboys. I believe the Saints were down or the game was tied and we got the ball back in our territorry with like 16 seconds left. Hebert moved the team into field goal range and Morten Hit around a 50 yard field goal to win the game at the gun. I just remember the dome exploding after the game. Of course nowadays my fav game is any game we win.
