The NFL wants want in LA?
It is hard for me to believe that the NFL wants a team in LA when the city or surrounding area have a hard time finding support for it:
NFL | Pasadena approaching deadline to keep NFL hopes alive Sat, 11 Feb 2006 10:49:38 -0800 Gary Scott, of the Pasadena Star-News, reports Councilman Chris Holden and his group, Citizens to Save the Rose Bowl, have 11 days to submit their signatures necessary to trigger a citywide election. Holden needs 9,816 signatures to qualify, but plans to collect up to 16,000 to make sure there are enough valid signatures. Holden said, "At the end of the day, it will create jobs, it will stimulate our economy, renovate the bowl at someone else's expense, give us rent on top of that." http://www.kffl.com/hotw/ That's not a lot of signatures for such a large population. You should be able to hang out at a 7-11 and get that many signatures in a weekend. |
