In 2003 he 59.1 % .... maybe not 60, but I bet he never had a line like the line that COULD be here next year. Bentley at Center, Holland and jean Gilles (2nd round, but use other 2nd rounder we get for the #2 pick trade use on LB), and Brick and Brown at T's.... Whats not to like there? Even if not Jean Gilles, Mayberry and Jcox could together work on the other Guard spot. I say give him one shot with a great o-line, but if he sucks, kick him out. I think this could work if he just has time.

Hey whodi...you sound like AB bumped in to you at the mall one day and insulted your mom or something!! LOL...Seriously though what erks me the most is that Brooks has on quite a few occasions has shown signs of brilliance. (Whodi....hold your animocity for a sec and think back.) We've seen him throw the worst passes in the hands of the worst people many times. We've also seen him avoid getting sacked, run away from some of the fastest linemen and linebackers and throw perfect passes while still running. I honestly feel that Haslett's coaching and the not so great O-Line we have definitely contributed to some of AB's performance. Like most of you, however, there is one thing that gets to me.... how did that footbal keep slipping from his hand?!?!? Many times we've seen QB's thrive with one coach and completely fall apart under another. Who is to say that Payton's approach won't work for AB?!?!?

So your whole line idea just imploded. 6 years is long enough for any QB in the world in the same system. Haslett didn't force Brooks to not try and improve in the offseasons. Haslett doesn't force Brooks to not look at game pics on the sideline like most every other QB does to find ways to beat a defense. Haslett doesn't force Brooks to not work out ON HIS OWN with his receivers in the offseason. These are thing BROOKS could do himself to improve, but didn't and never has. Haslett did force Brooks to go to leadership classes though. Why would anyone want a QB that has to be TAUGHT leadership? Isn't that supposed to be natural considering you play the most important position on the field? And prob have since elem school? They could build a time machine and import the Dallas Cowboys Superbowl line back here, the fact is, the guy taking the snaps would still be Aaron Brooks, and that alone makes the whole situation a losing one.

But I am sure he has done it once or twice, it's the fact he doesn't do it CONSISTENTLY that kills the team. Your own statement outlines the problem with Brooks:

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Decision on Brooks Comin
How does the definite logic of birds NOT flying north in the winter relate to the possibility of Brooks doing well under coach Payton?

Brooks is just about gone, and we will have been arguing for nothing.
