ok so its been a while since.....
....my last post. just a lot going on with the move, new baby and all that jazzy stuff. So heres my take on EVERYTHING Saints......for what its worth.........
1. The mock draft posted on here on the main page.....dream on.....Have the Saints ever made 2 good moves in one draft??? and u want to them to make several in one round.....i used to be a sunshiner....but even my optimism cant fathom that happening 2. Leinhart vs. Young vs. Cutler vs. Me.......Young got a 16 on the Wonderlic....big deal. I personally want Lienhart now, but dont write Young off yet. Griese had a 39 and Marino a 14. SO lets not put all the eggs in the basket for a score. If we only needed smarts, then screw it, lets draft Bill Gates for QB. Wonderlic is the LEAST important stat in determining a players value. Quote ESPN and NFL GM's on that one, not me. Hey, i got a 1280 on my SAT, give me a shot. If thats all it takes...... 3. If not a QB, then whom???? One word, Hawk. We went O-line last year, and got a good deal, ill give u that. But cmon, Brick as a #2.......not so much.... Well the laptp is dieing, so pick this apart, start the debates, lets do this........... good to see you back
since we vary in opinions from time to time, let me interject a few points.... - Brick would slide into the blind-side tackle, and Brown would remain in the RT position (trust me ) - smarts, as it pertains to the QB position, haven't really done much for us lately, has it? Change of pace is welcome. I agree with everything else |

word.....i like Young, but like Lienhart more, which means alot since im from Texas. I still think Young is gunna be a great QB in this league, i just think Lienhart is a more NFL ready guy. We need him or Hawk...no doubt about it......

1313, I have to say you thought before you posted... nice. He's my replys:
1. I completely agree. Three trades in one round? The first three picks in the second? I'm all for thinking outside the box, but come on! 2. I think the low Wonderlic is just another strike against Young. Poor mechanics, spread option QB in college, low Wonderlic. All strikes, they're going to add up in the end. And since you've got to teach this guy your way of playing QB, do you want someone below average on an intelligence test? 3. If not a QB, then trade down, THEN go for Hawk or Furguson depending on how far back you trade. But if Cutler's stock continues to rise he MIGHT be worth a #2 pick. |

1. I can see us trading down twice but three .
2. Let's see "Is Young Dumber than a twice backed potatoe" says it all hahaahhahahahaha 3. Cutler is impressive. I was not sold on him till the combine and the tapes i have watched. But as a #2 hmm. he can take a beating and stands in there. To trade down and still get Hawk and Ferguson is to stay in the top 5. Best offer will come from a team wanting into the top 5. After Veron Davis performance at the combine I am more for it. |

I say Brick still, because I am a believer in it all starts with the line. Cut Gandy or trade him for a 2010 7th rounder, or something. Birck, Brown, Holland, Bentley (BETTER resign him), and Mayerry (I guess) is a damn good line, besides Mayberry. We could still get a very good OLB in the 2nd round.
