..the actual #1 priority is not signing a specific player, but to change the attitude of the football team, removing any trace of Jim Haslett and his band of merry men.. that of course includes removing the last of the bad apples...

Well I think the attitude has already been address by canning Haslett and bringing in a new coach and staff. There next step is evaluating what the team has and can work with as a staff and what can they do via Draft at this point and FA to address the changes in personell. I think they are in evaluation mode now. Combine aside now see what the team has and more evaluation when Pro days start.
From what I can tell so far, I think they are going about this wrong... I think coming into the position and looking at this team you should already know that you have to look at this as a "rebuilding", I sense that what is going on in looking how to better the team. Normally you take the approach that 'everyone is gone unless you show us something, anyone is up for trade and or here are your walking papers'. You put this out there so teams know that players are up for trade ect. Granted all this can change come Monday morning but I am not getting a good feeling on the future of the team as wins go... I am settling in for more mediocre seasons at best. |
