What does everyone think of Maurice Stovall.....

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; As a 2nd day choice? He is tall 6'4", fast for his size 4.55, but he has some problems holding on to the ball when he is wide open, he does however play very well in traffic, has some questions ...

As a 2nd day choice? He is tall 6'4", fast for his size 4.55, but he has some problems holding on to the ball when he is wide open, he does however play very well in traffic, has some questions in route running. I think that he would be a great developmental player, and isn't that all you can ask for in a 5th or 6th round selection?

I agree that Stovall is a good prospect for a late second day choice, but what about Chase Lyman, our 4th from last year I believe. I recall that he tore his ACL last year in training camp but he was supposed to have unique speed for his size.

Yeah if healthy that Chase kid is sick....I remember him at Cal.....pure burner..
He kinda reminds me of a bigger version of Keith Poole back in the day.

Isn't Stovall projected to be a second round pick?

I think this team has enough receivers who have trouble holding onto the ball. I'd rather take a possession guy with great hands like Mike Haas or Hinkel out of Iowa.

agree with you on that deuce although i don't know those two guys. give me a guy a little slower but can get open in traffic and hold onto the ball. but i wouldn't mind maurice but then agauin i am a huge irish fan so i am biased
