i think everything hinges on where Brees' signs. if, for some reason, he decides to sign with the Saints, we will have traded out of that #2 spot by draft day. and you of all people don't want that to happen, given you threw your lot with Lienart a long time ago. |

It's one are the other, I'd take a proven Brees over a drafted, young QB, Brees is only 27 and has NFL experience.

I agree. Exp. at QB...trade down and acquire a ton of picks for that number 2 spot. Things would really look nice.

if someone is willing to give up the farm for the #2......

Well if not the farm...a few acres would be a hell of a lot considering all of our needs. ;0)

Arizona, Oakland (if the Culpepper deal falls through), Minnesota (if the Culpepper deal goes through), Miami, Buffalo, Jets, Dallas, or Detroit would all be viable partners, with Denver and K.C. being outside shots.
Outside of additional draft picks, maybe some players that could be thrown into the deal as well, that makes sense. Bryant Johnson Darryl Blackstock Lance Mitchell Ronald Curry Manuel Wright Jerricho Cotchery Kevin Burnett Charles Rogers (can't believe I'm saying this, but we might be able to get him cheap) Stanley Wilson Shaun Cody small list of players that could be included in a trade for the #2, that I think could come in and benefit this team. |
