this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Would definately be an upgrade (any linebacker would be an upgrade on our team) but with all the money we have to spend on free agents I'm hoping that we can catch some bigger fish in the free agent pond ...

There's not many big fish left that we have a realistic chance of getting Timay. Ayodele and Peterson are really the only ones left worth our time. And we probably won't get either of them. But at least we got Fujita.

Deuce, I agree that it will be hard for us to sign some of the bigger free agents, but I don't think it's impossible. If we don't land Brees we will have a lot of money and hopefully we can offer the most money to someone like a Peterson. Money often speaks loudly. However, in the end, I can try to be optimistic, but realistically, I feel like we are going to have to build most of our team through the draft.
