I'm not sure what to really read into McCown....He had a two top-notch receivers the last two years in Fitzgerald and Boldin, but he was constantly having to pass due to the non-existent running game. I think with a more balanced attack, he could be a much better QB. However, if he is signed, I'd wouldn't be trading the 2nd pick unless it was down far enough to still get Cutler if Leinart is gone. Just MHO.

I agree let's take Brees before Josh but if Brees falls through Josh would be a nice addition to the Saints, with the Cards this guy had to pass and pass and pass, no running game and still did alright, just think what he could do with having a running game

You're right D.
If we get this dude, we will definitely still need Lienart, so this could be good for those in Matt's camp. Brees could be a long term answer where McCown would just be a stop gap. Signing McCown would bring back memories of the Billy Joes |

McCown is no QB solution but is a perfectly good stopgap-interim-backup when picking Leinart. Certainly more than Bowman (agggh!) is needed. Kitna would be even better: been there, done that with Palmer.

Did everyone forget about Leinart. Why even consider McCown. I'd rather we play AMAC.

I see the Saints intersted in McCown as a #2 or 3, but a decent one
