this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; they said the deal is either a one year deal or a 6 year deal. looks like we protected oursleves if he doesn't come back healthy. just what clayton said on espn news the blitz...

See it's a one year deal so we still draft Leinart and then cut Brees next year saving ourselves the cap cost next year.

well it is possible that we will cut him but if he comes out and plays the way he did the last two years i don't think we cut him.
