Jets want Schaub, not Leinart
Matt has Green dream
But Jets want Schaub, not Leinart By RICH CIMINI DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER If Matt Leinart gets his wish, he will playing in media capital of world next season. Matt Leinart has told people in his inner circle that he's dying to play for the Jets. A door opened yesterday that could make it possible, but the Jets have their eye on another, less heralded Matt  Matt Schaub, the Falcons' backup quarterback. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/st...p-338810c.html |

RE: Jets want Schaub, not Leinart
I'm not sure I trust this report. It' noted that the Saints "are reported" to be shopping our #2 pick. It's actually reported that now WE CAN shop the #2 pick. But good for them if they do it. I would rather have Shuab out of Atlanta.

It makes more sense. Schaub should be starting anyway. He won't get all the press love, but he would help them win faster.
This scenario makes the rumors of Atlanta interest in Aaron Brooks as Vick's backup make more sense. |

I just don't think the Falcons will let Schaub go. He's such a good backup, especially when you consider how important his role is because of all of Michael Vick's injuries.

Falcons won't do it. Why would they give up one of the best insurance policies in the NFL. Schaub will be a Falcon until his contract runs out or the Jets seriously overcompensate the Falcons in a trade.
