Who would you rather have?
Would you rather have D'Brick on the team, which would give the team two good Offensive Tackles(J.Brown)?
Would you rather have the top DT(forget his name) on the team, which would give the team two good Defensive Tackles(J. Sullivan)? Would you rather have Mario on the team, which would give the team three good Defensive Ends(C.Grant and W. Smith)? I thought about it for awhile, and I was thinking about what the D-Line would look like, with Grant, Sullivan,#1 DT from draft, and Smith on the field together. If everyone played as expected, it would be one of the best D-Lines in the league. But I will support the team, no matter who they draft. Just a thought. |

RE: Who would you rather have?
I'm not sure about the Brick pick, while that would put two really talented tackles on our line we'd be going to war with bookends that have a years worth of playing experience combined. That makes me nervous... but in time I think he'll be a monster!
I think Sullivan is gonna step it up this year! Isnt this the last year of his rookie contract? He's got a new coach, and he'll be looking for a new deal at the end of the year so maybe we'll finally seem him rise to the occasion. I cant say I was impressed with him last year, but I was encouraged by the fact he kept his weight down. I'm hoping we dont draft Super Mario... there are just so many holes elsewhere, and besides... I really want to see AJ Hawk in black and gold!!! |

a.j. was one of the above, hehe.
i'll be happy as long as he is a legitimate #2-4 pick not some stretch like how trading up for sullivan was. that would be bush, leinart, d'brick, and mario for me. hawk is just a step down IMO but i wouldn't gripe about him either cuz the need has been so great at LB for so long. as for DTs, none in this class are of that status. Ngata is the best and is more mid-first rd material. most probably have watson or bunkley after that, late firsts at best. one of my dream picks is claude wroten at #34. he is a force to be reckoned with. he also was a mid first projection, maybe the top DT until he was busted for a little ganja operation he was running out of his trunk. i don't have a problem with him. at least he was enterprising and not strung out on something himself. He is from backwoods Bastrop, La and a JUCO transfer so is still probably playing catch up in maturing to become a professional anything. |
