RE: Saints sign Center
Guess this is Bentley's replacement. Let's get D'Brick and run off tackle plays for Deuce.

there was a thread about signing this guy 2 days ago. i'm copying n pasting just cuz it made me laugh-
from December- The Browns added OL Dwayne Ledford to the roster to replace C Jeff Faine, who was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday. Ledford was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the 49ers in 1999 out of East Carolina. Ledford, (6-4, 300 pounds) has played in nine games in his NFL career, including one start in 2003 with San Francisco. He was with the 49ers and the Saints in 2004 and 2005, but did not play. He was waived by the Saints at the end of the 2005 training camp. “He has played in an NFL game and we added him to give us some depth at center, Crennel said. ----- a camp body that can hike the ball Scouting report: Quote: He has decent foot work and shows the ability to get set quickly in pass protection. He is not consistent with his foot work and he struggles a little bit to block movement. He comes off the line and delivers a decent blow and with his bulk he can get good movement in the run game occasionally. He seems to lack awareness in blocking angles and will frequently take a poor angle to a block or miss an assignment. He lacks ideal strength in both upper and lower body and he can be knocked back by an explosive bull rush. Sounds crappy. Sweeeeeeeeet that scouting report made me laugh... "struggles a little bit to block movement" he does a great job with the dummies though. "can get good movement in the run game occasionally" like on one of haslett 3rd and 22 draws "lack awareness" we have already had that with riley, gandy, etc.- "oh, he didn't say hike??" "miss an assignment" except like sullivan at the chow line "lacks ideal strength in both upper and lower body " is a fat slob head to toe |
