Brooks visiting Redskins??

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/s...d.php?t=149908 Imagine if he beats out Brunell... he does have much better team in Washington, and if he cuts out just 1/2 of the mistakes and the WRs can catch the ball... he just might do something....

Imagine if he got a brain transplant. Then he could really be something.

RE: Brooks visiting Redskins??

Gibbs doesn't run the most complicated O, but he does require quick and smart decissions. Gibbs has never looked for the most athletic QB, but the smartest. Look at prior QBs he's had: Theisman, Ripien, Brunnell. Not the most gifted athletes, but smart and can think for themselves.

Brooks would not do well there bcause he'd never see the feild barring injury.

Didn't he win one with this guy....

Brooks can run a ball control offense... never had the chance in New Orleans because Venturi always had us down by 20 in the first quarter. Brooks might thrive with a good defense and not asked to win the game single handedly.

Anyone can have one great game. Oh yeah, who was the guy that got them there? I'll give you a hint: It wasn't Doug Williams.

RE: Brooks visiting Redskins??

SO now you're comparing Brooks to a SB winning QB? You're delusional. Ball control O's are what we were trying to run the last two years. Any time a coach says they're emphasising the run over the pass it's a ball control. And I like how it's Venturi's fault for the play on the feild. If a (smart) QB sees that a given play isn't going to work he audibles to another and the O runs that.
