this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Wouldn't it be horrible irony if we signed Jeff Blake(The huge signing of 2000) and Brees went down in the middle of a terrific season only to have Jeff Blake step in and lead us to our first playoff win ...

Wouldn't it be horrible irony if we signed Jeff Blake(The huge signing of 2000) and Brees went down in the middle of a terrific season only to have Jeff Blake step in and lead us to our first playoff win since 2001. Oh my GAWD how ironic would that be. I sure hope Brees comes through because I think he is a great guy, and a true leader.
