I notice that most posters on these Saints boards, tend to talk about how they hope that a player gets over an injury(they have the whole offseason to get well and most players do, from most any injury) or that players play better than the previous year. I don't think like that, no matter if its the Saints or Hornets(I thought David West, of the Hornets would be a good player), I always believe that they will be good to go healthwise and be better than previous season's(or they will at least try to be better). I do that with every Saints player also. Here are some examples:

1. I did not want Brees over Brooks, but since he is here, I assume that he will not be hurt when the season starts. I don't care if he is not ready before the season starts, but I assume he will be ready for the first game of the season.

2. I believe Deuce is getting great rehab with his leg and will be back ready to roll. And with some improved blocking, he will get great numbers.

3. Joe Horn will be all healed up and play like the warrior he is, Donte' Stallworth will continue getting better and might be the number one reciever next year. Henderson will be the 3rd and still learn more from Joe and Donte', and I believe Chase Lyman will play if he is healthy, if not then he was just a fourth rounder and they are usually backups or don't make the team.

4. Jon Stinchcomb will be healthy and ready to play(All Injured Players Will Be Healed And Ready To Play). He was almost ready to take over the LT spot in training camp, so I have no reason to believe he won't be good enough this year.

5. Zach Hilton was getting better with the previous staff, and this one is suppose to be better(that's what we all hope anyway), so why is there any reason to believe he want continue to get better.

6. Johnathan Sullivan played better last year, but not much. I think he now knows how to play the position in the pros, and will be a good starter. We have to think that this staff will coach him well and play him more. He is on the team and we should believe he is a great DT.

7. The LBers are still the most disliked, but Courtney W, Albert F, and Colby B are young and will be up and coming players. Not to mention they got two LBers capable of starting in FA. I think those two were the best of the second tier players. The star players wanted too much money or to play for a bigger market.

8. The secondary is good with the SS and FS, and Mike M, Fred T, and Jason C are good players who will play better with improved front seven play. The front seven will play better when the injured players comeback and the new players help.

9. I believe that the draft will be "best player available" kind of draft. But even if it is a "need draft", they will still get the best players they can get. And I think those players will help the team succeed.

10. The coaching staff will be more of a coaching type staff and not just a motivational staff. I believe they will want to prove themselves and get some great play out of this team. I always believe that a team I cheer for will succeed.

I know all of these things might not happen, but I believe that they all could happen, and will happen. And if they don't happen this season, then I will believe that they will happen next season.

Some good points, and some I disagree with. Here I go:

First of all, this is not a good way to start a post. Anybody who wants AB as their starting QB needs to have their head checked.

I would like to believe this. Deuce is my favorite player and I really want to see him have a return to 2003 form. However, the last few years have shown me that Deuce just isn't a no-nonsense kinda worker. His work ethic is a little lacking, but I hope that missing all those games last season really made him want to work hard in the offseason to come back stronger than ever.

I'm also worried about Joe's injury situation. He seemed to be out every other game from various injuries, which is a sign that he is breaking down. I hope it was just a one-year fluke because we really need those hands. I also hope that he grows some nuts this season and actually tries to get some YAC instead of diving to the turf every time he catches a friggin ball.

I am really interested in this situation. Like you said, Stinch was about to win the starting tackle job last season before he got hurt. I really hope he's healthy now because I think he is talented enough to start, and would be an upgrade over Gandy if we don't draft Brick.

Sully did play better last year, but apparently he's overweight again now. What a fat bastard. That really pisses me off that we spent so many picks, are paying this fat slob millions of dollars and he just doesn't perform. If it was any other kind of job, your job depends on your performance, and if you acted like Sully has, you'd be fired really quickly. I hope he continues to build on a pretty solid season, but if not, I hope we show his gooey ass the door.

Our LBs from last year SUCKED. I am very disappointed in Courtney W, not only because he missed almost the entire season and has now reported overweight and out of shape, but also because of his criminal incidents. This guy could have been a leader on this team, and he's pulling crap like that. I'm almost already fed up with him because he hasn't done shiznit. WHo the hell is Alfred Fincher? Did he ever see the field last season? The sideline? I don't think he'll ever develop into anything, nice pick Haslett. And Colby Bockwoldt is awful. If I have to watch one more season of him starting and getting run over by every RB in the league (especially 60-year old Curtis Martin), I am going to puke. He's fast, young, strong, and is a nice story, I'll admit, but he sucks. He wouldn't start for any other team in the NFL. I'm glad we got Fujita and Simmons, and I'll be expecting those two to start from day 1.

I think our safeties are very good, and so is MM, but we still need to worry about that other corner...
