have to disagree papz..........yes, he is young and yes he is coming off a good yr and one more hamstring pull and what? imo, donte is a burner........catch the ball and most of the time gone.........if this rumor is true, maybe someone wants him or we are seeing if anyone is interested......in either case, he has reminded me of brooks over the yrs, dazzling at times, and totally left dumbfounded at others.......i'm all for giving him another yr and who knows, he may become a joe horn and blossom, but you have to be consistent, don't you agree?

Don't see anything wrong with what you posted. Remember how old Joe Horn was before he blossomed... Stallworth is well above that pace.

What did you disagree with though smitty? You think a 3rd rounder for Stallworth isn't undervaluing him? Would you pull the trigger on a deal for a mid round draft pick? I certainly wouldn't.

Well what could he possibly command more than that?? You have to not see him through the eyes of a Saints fan. I thought a 3rd rounder was being generous. He's an oft-injured former 1st round pick who has underachieved. Daunte Culpepper was just traded for a second rounder. Do you honestlty think we could get a second rounder for Stallworth....I say no way. My first option would be to keep him, but if they are dead set on trading him, then a 3rd is what I would realistically expect.

IMO I think Stallworth will continue to improve, I'd hate to give up on him only to see him go to another team and say I told you so. (Like a Jake D.)

I think Stallworth is going to have his best year as a pro this year. The only logic for us trading Stallworth is that we don't think we will be able to afford him next year so we might as well trade him this year and see what we can get. I'm not for trading the guy for a 3rd round pick. Keep him around for another year, see how he does and if he breaks out then we better resign him.

I think we could get a 2nd rounder for him... but that's just me. I rather not see him traded at all. You think Daunte's fat 100 million dollar contract and his injury had anything to do with him being traded for a 2nd rounder? Just a thought.

He has dropped quite a few balls his first few years in the league...

3 this year and a 4 next (for the what ifs) sounds good but straight up for a 3 is fair. Henderson is the speed and well after Joe we got no hands. trade donte for a 3 and pick Hass in the third I will be happy.

like i said, i'll be all for another yr,,,,,,,,,,,,,it gets depressing with injuries though......as far as pick, can't say........but, a solid 2nd for his last yr performance would justify it in my mind......
