More proven and cheaper than the top 3 in this draft. I think he has real potential. I would be glad to see him out of the NFC South too.

To be honest I think he is the better of the two quarterbacks in Atlanta. Not as exciting but by far a better true quarterback.

Schaud would be learning behind Brad Johnson, a true ball control QB. A good place to learn for a smart guy like Schaub, better than sitting behind the best RB that plays QB in the league.

He's definitely a better QB than Vick. The reason why it's been so hard for the Falcons to let him go is because they really know how good he is and it scares them to see him not in a Falcson uni

I have my doubts that this trade will ever happen. Schaub appears to be the real deal, and the Falcons can almost count on Vick getting hurt. A couple years back the Falcons lost a season when Vick was injured, because they did not have a guy like Schaub to fill in. Now, talk about an impact on a team! There is no doubt that Vick is the right guy to lead the Falcons for now. For 2007 it appears Schaub should take over, unless Vick manages to get the Falcons to the superbowl after the 06 season. Vick will have another year of wear and tear, eventually his running skills will start to decline, and will probably still be a below average passer. Another possible issue is the relationship between Vick and Mora.
If the Vikings can find a way to pull off a deal, they need to do it in a heartbeat. The situation in Minnesota could be very good for a guy like Schaub. Having a guy like Brad Johnson around does not hurt either. Johnson is a true professional, and would support Schaub in every way possible. Just don't see the Vikings being able to pull it off, unless they offer the Falcons some off the wall type of package. There is no way the Falcons would want to put their 06 season in immediate jepordy. |
