Kevin Seifert, of The Star Tribune, reports the Atlanta Falcons are standing pat on their demands for a first-round draft pick in a trade for backup QB Matt Schaub. The Minnesota Vikings and the Falcons have discussed a possible trade for the quarterback but nothing was offered; they could resume talks down the road.


i don't know how anyone else reads into this, but clearly atlanta is saying a #1 pick for schaub and he's yours.................
while spectulation goes on as to who we will draft, i pose these questions....
as of now, the saints have not discussed any backup qb i am aware of.....
with payton being the offensive coach he is, would you agree he did alright with bledsoe, or the best he could with him? and if brees comes back would you not agree he's a few steps up on bledsoe? and if brees never plays again could a veteran such as bledsoe be all we need to get to the playoffs? i have to go back to defense wins games...........smitty
