More on Brooks (No, NOT Leon)

Ahmad Brooks. He would have been the first LB picked in the '05 draft if he would have entered early. If the FO thinks he is worth the risk he could be a real steal for a 3rd or 4th Rd supplemental pick. Remember Randy Moss woud have been a top five pick minmum but fell to 21 for character issues and baggage.

Somebody definitely to keep on the radar-

For a third or 4th in the supplement? I would definatley do it. Than I wouldn't think we would need to get Hawk, because Brooks is up there too but injuries slowed him some. But if we could gaurentee him, get Brick for sure and Mangold with the second 1st we get from Jets and Wright with our 2nd.

I've heard that Brooks was really good two years ago, but after some off the field problems he got lazy and EXTREMELY out of shape. He just wasn't the same.

Brooks, a senior, led Virginia in tackles as a freshman and sophomore but played in only six games during an injury-riddled 2005. As a sophomore, Brooks was All-ACC and a Butkus Award finalist. But he ballooned to 270 pounds as he struggled to recover from knee and ankle injuries last year.
An oft-injured, poor character LB? Haha no thanks.
