Brandt's top prospects for the draft: Defense

NFL.com Senior Analyst (April 5, 2006) -- After the 2005 collegiate season ended, the scouting process for draft-eligible players began. And Gil Brandt was with you every step of the way. After pre-Combine rankings, Combine results, post-Combine evaluations and Pro Day workouts, Brandt has crunched all the numbers and compiled a list of the best prospects at each position. In addition to Brandt's top prospects, he also lists some "wild cards" that may be picked higher than expected and some of the top prospects for the 2007 NFL Draft.
