LB- I don\'t know of anyone out there. Theres no DT out there either. Lets pray that there will be a couple after june 1st but the reality is that the June 1st cuts have never been as great as anticipated. But I am a little more optimistic about our linebackers than you are whodat. Not Ruff necessarily but Hodge and Allen. WHY you ask? As I have perused this website I find that many posts emphasise the importance of experience. Well, hodge and Allen will have another year of experience. Not to mention more offseason work. Not to mention that Allen showed a ton of promise as a rookie last season and managed to gain a starting spot by the end of the year. Bottom Line; I am hoping that they will start to progress as football players.. for many it takes at least three years to become good football players. Dont forget. Hodge is only going into his 3rd year and Allen his second. |

In response to USA Today\'s grade for the Saints.
Pete Prisco\'s Draft Tracker: New Orleans Saints Best pick: Ohio State\'s Cie Grant, their third-round pick, is a heck of a football player. He will push for time at weakside LB as a rookie. Worst pick: It\'s hard to pick out a bad choice, but second-round pick Jon Stinchcomb, a tackle from Georgia, won\'t be an immediate starter and is a little soft. He has to get stronger. Reach: Some will say trading two picks to get Johnathan Sullivan was a reach. But they had him as the third-rated player on their board. If he isn\'t an impact player in the next year, there will be questions about this trade. Comment: The wanted an offensive lineman and a defensive lineman and they got both in the first two rounds in Sullivan and Georgia teammate Jon Stinchcomb. Fourth-round pick Montrae Holland, a guard from Florida State, will prove to be a steal. Nice value on the two receivers taken late. Grade: B+ All of the \"experts\" have graded the Saints with an average to an above average grade in the draft. But, as most of those reporters will tell you, you can\'t truly grade a draft until three years after the draft. Joe\'s right. 6-1 last year against those teams. I\'m not concerned about this season. We are going to the play-offs. |

Yoda\'s opinion is the only one that matters, and Yoda says that the saints had an OK draft, not great, not bad, but OK, filled a huge void in the middle of the Dline... added some depth on Oline... got some speed guys.. and 2 solid WR late in the draft... made some excellent trades and cleared cap room to boot....Yoda says B-minus
