The year before the Patriots won their first Super Bowl, they drafted Seymour at the #6 spot...they weren't doing so hot.

What 2 pro bowl linebackers do we have? Not quite sure you are talking about the Saints...unless you are from the past...and this is really 1991 all over again.

And the Steelers drafted Big Ben somewhere in the middle of the draft.

I have no idea what Dhatboi is talking about. It's like we're talking about two different realities.

I don't know. I can see people liking Williams, but it's just not a good choice for our team. It would be nice to take the best player availible, but we can't really afford that luxery. Plus, I don't think Williams is so far superior to Hawk. In fact, I think Hawks drive alone (not even looking at his physical skills) put him head and shoulders above this defensive class.

I don't think Hawk is head and shoulders over Mario, but for the saints needs he's the best pick. But not at #2. If they can't trade out of #2 then they have to draft Mario or D'Brick.

Why do they have to draft Mario? Physical skills yes. But it's known that he tends to play when he want's to. Hawk trains, studies, and trains some more. What linebacker in the leauge is running a 4.38 40? So why can't we take him at #2? I'd be happy to pick up D-Brick too. I just haven't heard anything that's convinced me why we can't take him that early.
