Perhaps, Haz and Co may have gotten word about possible veterans released from these positions. Like any business, You must know just as much about your competitor as you know about your self. Football is just that BIG BUSINESS! Why did the saints choose not to draft a true safety or a true LB? Just maybe the Haz is about to become the topic of discussions once again . You dont think alot of coaches are asking themselves now how come we couldnt pull off a trade like that..How can you say the saints gave up anything when they MOVED 17 spots up for the second rd pick and then GAINED a 4th round pick from this..Hazlett is definitely getting some attention this year! |

Lets not forget the june 1st Vets Release date
I really hope there is going to be agood CB let go after June 1. I hope that Dale Carter turns out to be the player he was 3 years ago, if he does and Ambrose plays the way that he can, we will be fine. I just do not see it happening, if it does GREAT!!! If not, we will be sad we passed on Walker, James or one of the GB corners. Just my opinion though

A conditional 2nd round pick(which ever is higher ours or the Rams) and a possible fourth depending upon performance. Does that sound good?

Well, Rod... there\'s definitely mixed signals coming out of Seattle. Their GM seems to be talking like Springs isn\'t going anywhere, but Holmgren is painting a different picture.
Seahawks | Not Trying to Push Springs Out - from www.KFFL.com Sat, 26 Apr 2003 18:31:56 -0700 Updating previous reports, the Seattle Post Intelligencer reports Seattle Seahawks GM Bob Ferguson noted the team’s selection of CB Marcus Trufant in the first round isn’t an indication that the team is trying to push CB Shawn Springs out of town. Springs is entering the final year of his contract with the team. \"You can never have enough corners,\" Ferguson said. \"We want Shawn Springs here, and we\'re hoping he has a great year, too.\" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seahawks | Springs Not Participating - from www.KFFL.com Fri, 4 Apr 2003 07:15:14 -0800 Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Seattle Seahawks CB Shawn Springs is not participating in the team’s current voluntary passing camp because he had some personal business to attend to. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seahawks | Springs Absent At Workouts - from www.KFFL.com Wed, 2 Apr 2003 04:34:20 -0800 Mike Sando for the Tacoma News Tribune reports Seattle Seahawks CB Shawn Springs did not attend the first day of the team’s voluntary workouts. “I left a message for him and he’ll have some great excuse, said Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren. “He’ll have something like, ‘My dog swallowed my airplane ticket’ or something. Springs said he was tending to a personal matter. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seahawks | Springs Would Like to Leave - from www.KFFL.com Sun, 23 Feb 2003 13:24:19 -0800 According to Len Pasquarelli of ESPN.com, Seattle Seahawks CB Shawn Springs would like to be traded. He will push hard for a resolution this spring. He is unhappy he is still playing under his original contract, a deal never restructured by the Seahawks, and feels a change of scenery might revive his career. |

Interesting Idea, Shawn Springs. We have the salary cap room and he is the big type of corner we would prefer. Lets just not get our hopes up. Chances are still strongest that he will stay in Seattle and there are 31 other teams.

Springs..............hmmm, nice thought. If Shawn wants to make a move,he would be the type of player we should go after.

I think they\'ll keep him, at least for now, until Trufant proves to them that he\'s the real deal. That might take a season, though I hope not.
