Look over the starting lineup for the Giants defense......damn, that's ugly. I love what Coughlin has done so far.

RE: funny thing

the giants are one of four nfc teams that i think have a real shot at the super bowl... the others are dallas, carolina, and atlanta... i think we'll still be closer to the bottom than the top, but the next year, we'll see an 11-5 or 12-4 sort of season... the schedule this year is tough, which is sad considering all that this team went through last year...

RE: funny thing

i see it the opposite... the jets don't have a good quarterback (right now), an old running back (with no good backup), aging interior line, no john abraham, no ty law and you think they will compete? for the cellar of the afc maybe... the giants have eli manning (getting like peyton somewhat), tiki barber (with brandon jacobs), younger interior line, great de's, revamped linebacking corps, and added studs to their secondary.... the only team thus far to get that much better on defense is the falcons, who will be amazing on defense, if they can stay healthy...

RE: funny thing

How can someone say the Giants aren't going to compete. They won there division last season, they didn't really lose any big players besides Allen. But they filled that with Madison. They added to there LBs with Lavar. They had a good offense last season, they are all coming back. So where is the dought coming from?

OKay I will simplify the statement with double negatives, They will be in the run for conf. title as well as having a shot to get into NFC champ. game. Get any pick in next years draft from the draft because it will be in the top 10 next year also.

That defense, at least on paper, looks like a Super Bowl defense.
