For the money and age I would rather have seen JT O'Sullivan back Mike Mc Mann Jeff Blake or Kliff Kingbury again over Martin.

i think the loser of the bouman/martin backup battle will be sent packing... no room on our roster for 4 quarterbacks... the winner of the position is merely a stop gap to next year, when we do select a quarterback or sign a decent backup in the offseason... neither bouman nor mcphearson (at least not at this point in his development) has any trade value, not even to ravens who are chomping at the bit for a quarterback right now...

Saints Sign Another QB

Moving to shore up their quarterback depth chart, and to add veteran insurance in the event that starter Drew Brees is unable to open the season, the New Orleans Saints have signed veteran Jamie Martin to a two-year contract.

He is a much better #2 than Bouman. Good move, just not sure if they should have done it before tomorrow.
