Mike Haas????
Mike Hass
Height: 6-0 Weight: 208 40 Speed: 4.65 E Position: Wide Receiver College: Oregon State Final Grade: F 5.4 GM JR Scouting LLC Grading Scale/Key SUMMARY Hass was a disappointing receiver to grade because he did not live up to the tremendous production he had in college. At Oregon State he was the 'go to receiver' throughout his career and consistently stepped up and made the big catch in the most important situations. He has good size for a receiver at over 6-foot-0 and nearly 210 pounds, which helps him to take hard hits, keep feet and gain yards after contact. He is surprisingly good at spinning and getting started upfield quickly after the catch. The trouble is that he lacks the quick feet and explosiveness to burst off the ball and struggles to get separation in routes. He is smart and does a good job of using size/body to shield defender and makes the good catch with defender trying to climb over his back. For a former invited walk-on at Oregon State, Hass had an excellent college career and has learned so much that he has given himself a chance to make it in the NFL. Overall, Hass is going to struggle in the NFL due to a lack of quickness and speed, but all of his other traits will enable him to stick in the NFL as a backup receiver and will develop into a very good special teams player. STRONG POINTS Hass is a solidly built receiver who can keep his feet vs. hard hits, breaks tackles and consistently gains yards after contact. He's very willing to go across the middle and make the tough catch in traffic, will take the hard hit and holds onto the ball. He has very good hands, which combine with his concentration and body control to let him adjust and make tough catches on off-target throws. He gets up to catch high passes better than expected. He is a smart receiver who keeps his routes going when the quarterback is flushed from the pocket and runs sharp/precise routes consistently. WEAKNESSES Hass is limited in his quickness and playing speed -- he has no burst off the ball into route. His lack of quickness really hinders his ability to release quickly vs. the Jam and will struggle even more in the NFL. Despite running sharp routes, his lack of burst keeps him from being able to get separation from defenders. He does not have the playing speed to get deep down the field to make long plays. |

RE: Mike Haas????
Always excells expectations also. As we see, his scouting report wasnt great but he also was a walk on at Oregon and became the go-to guy. He looks like one of those gamer types. Film I've watched shows him looking alot better then a 6th rounder and with sure hands, we cant realy go wrong. Looking for a CB, see we just grabbed one but not very educated on him.. any news?
