Foxsports: BEST DRAFT…
HUGE WINNERS…
NEW ORLEANS Saints general manager Mickey Loomis and head coach Sean Payton threw a party when they found out that the Texans inexplicably passed up on the best talent in the draft. Payton started salivating when he found out he could draw up plays for Reggie Bush. The former USC standout will be an instant star as a running back, receiver out of the backfield, special teams player, and instant hit at the box office. The fans of the Saints deserve this. Bush can be the next Gale Sayers or Marshall Faulk. This was a fantastic day in the history of the Saints. And that's not subject to hyperbole. New Orleans needed a safety a got one in Roman Harper in round 2. And they needed a starting center and traded down in the second round with the Browns and picked up Jeff Faine. Loomis also traded for Eagles defensive tackle Hollis Thomas. And Mike Hass was one of the best receivers in college football last year. He is the ultimate possession receiver with great hands and he is very reliable. This was a fantastic value pick in round 6. Hass will be a success with Drew Brees. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5561544 About time |
