NFL.com wire reports NEW ORLEANS (April 30, 2003) -- The New Orleans Saints waived guard Wally Williams. Williams, entering his 11th season, signed with the Saints in 1999 as an unrestricted free agent. After injuring his knee in training camp, Williams dressed but did not play in the first eight games of the 2002 season. He then missed four games before playing in the final four games of the season on special teams. |

Honestly, it doesn\'t surprise me a bit. I saw this coming a mile away and the draft only solidified it. Williams was getting paid a bit much to ride the pine. The question is how much of a cap hit did we take on this move?
